- Regulatory and Governmental Liaison/Research:
Providing detailed analysis of applicable governmental and regulatory requirements and policies, including all necessary research. Meeting and/or corresponding with appropriate agencies to resolve new or uncertain areas of concern and issues. - Compliance Review:
Carrying out detailed inspections, evaluating and analyzing your vessel's material condition and operational fitness to insure full compliance with the latest International vessel safety and safety management standards (IMO, SOLAS, ISM, STCW, ILO, and U.S. Coast Guard requirements). - Self-Inspection and Facility Audits:
Assisting in the development and execution of self-inspection programs. Performing independent audits of existing self-inspection programs to ensure full compliance with internal requirements. Performing facility audits preparatory to U.S. Coast Guard facility inspections. - Vetting/Vessel Audits:
Carrying out vetting inspections on behalf of our Principals using latest IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, OCIMF, and ICS standards. Performing Pre-charter/purchase surveys to fully evaluate the vessel's material condition and staff's performance detailed in a comprehensive report to enable our Principals to make informed decisions. Monitoring Cargo Operations to ensure that cargo operations are carried out safely and efficiently, offering viable solutions to minimize delays and ensure that the vessel's staff utilizes the vessel's equipment to its maximum performance potential. Attending and supervising the last stages of discharge and stripping operations to minimize the R.O.B. quantity. Providing documentation to support the findings of the R.O.B. quantity. - Contingency Plans:
USCG, EPA, OSHA, and State Regulatory Compliance. Preparing Vessel and Facility Response Plans and advising in developing comprehensive plans and instructions individually tailored to particular needs of each vessel and facility. - Drill Planning and Execution:
Planning and conducting response drills that will help meet or exceed OPA 90 annual requirements for drill execution. During the design phase we will ensure that the individual needs of our customers are addressed and implemented. - Training:
Conducting OPA 90 and regulatory training dealing with maritime issues. Training will be offered in such areas as:- Port Security Measures
- Coast Guard regulations
- OPA 90
- International Maritime Agreements
- Provide Qualified Individual Training for Oil Spill Response.
- Port / Facility Security:
Provide Port and Facility Security Assessments, Security Plan writing, and training. All plans will be in accordance with 33 CFR 105 and the ISPS code. Working closely with the customer we will assist in submitting these plans to the U.S. Coast Guard for approval.
